On March 17, 2021, Downstate/UHB will host our inaugural Patient Safety and Quality Fair. We want the frontline….. at the front of the line, to participate and witness our quest for quality and passion for patient safety, which are top priorities for Downstate/UHB. This event will mark our initial leap forward on our journey toward zero harm and becoming a High Reliability Organization (HRO).

We are thrilled to announce the renowned, Dr. Mark Chassin, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Joint Commission as our keynote speaker. We will hear remarks from Dr. David Berger, Chief Executive Officer of UHB and Dr. Rami Nakeshbandi, Interim Chief Medical Officer. In addition, we will have several outstanding poster presentations and impressive exhibits on display showcasing various topics related to patient safety and quality.

Participants will enjoy fun interactive games, unique giveaways, and attractive prizes for the top 3 posters. A delicious lunch will be provided to those on campus.
